Bain marie services, repair & installation
A bain marie is essentially a hot water bath used for slow cooking delicate foods over low temperatures, such as custard and terrines. Food in this container is cooked using steam which the bain marie creates. They are also often used to reheat foods. These would be a welcome addition to any commercial kitchen if you regularly have to keep food warm for customers. Bain maries are also typically found in buffets and school canteens.
A bain marie can come in many different shapes and sizes. The most common model is a larger container with four separate sections, where different food can be stored. Under the outer container is the heat source which heats up the metal in order to maintain a warm temperature for the food. There are two different models however, the wet and dry bain maries. The wet allows for water to fill half of a section, which would be beneficial for fast food, whereas the dry is the standard model which does not typically allow for there to be water in it.
