Our aim as a business who deals in the foodservice and catering industry is to help our clients as much as we can. Whether that’s through our 27/4 breakdown service, or just being a friendly voice on the other end of the phone offering advice.
Both our engineers and office team are so proud and thrilled have their hard work recognised with a nomination in Catering Insight‘s Kitchen & Equipment Awards 2020.
2020 has been a difficult year for many businesses in the foodservice and catering sector and our push has been to make sure we are there for all of our clients with whatever they need from us.
We have nominated under the category of Business Development for the Catering Insight and Foodservice Equipment Journal Awards. What makes the nomination even more special is the fact we have been nominated by a number of our customers and also suppliers. The category we have been entered into covers all aspects of business development and business growth.
Distributor of the Year Awards
We understand that unfortunately many businesses had to close their doors, but all of our team both office and engineers have pulled together and been able to show the industry exactly what we’re made off.
In the past year alone, we’ve grown the overall business by 33% even with pandemic figures. That includes our sales team which has gone from two people up to an amazing team of eight! This growth means our spend to supply chain has also grown. We made the choice to build on our investments to support our business development such as investing in a new premises, office and ware house space, new infrastructure and IT systems including real time engineering software and our Northern Powerhouse development kitchen.
Helping our community
We’re also proud of the work we’ve been able to carry out over the past few months. Whether that is was providing support NHS by sourcing emergency regeneration ward service trollies, providing different trusts with 15 COVID compliant dishwashers as well as servicing hospital and care home kitchens. We have also provided support to our clients by temporarily pausing all contract payments until the restaurants can re-open and make use of their appliances! Our engineers have really have gone out their way over the last few months with all of our office staff’s backing.
NWCE Foodservice Equipment

This year has really shown us all how tough our industry can be when faced with adversity and we’re so proud to see the growth that will come in the coming years!
