Meat fridge services, repairs & installations

A meat fridge is a refrigerator which specialises in storing meats, to stop cross contamination. The aim of this appliance is to stop the rapid growth of bacteria, as this can affect the quality of the meat when cooked. The meat fridge is also a key tool when it comes to making sure your produce doesn’t change in appearance or odour.

Bacteria grows most rapidly between the temperatures of 70°F to 100°F, any temperature above or below this will make the bacteria grow slower. So meat fridges operate at temperatures between 34° and 40°F, as bacteria growth is minimal. With normal fridges it’s recommended that meat and sea food is stored on the bottom shelf, but meat fridges give you a lot more space to work with as you don’t have to do that. Meat fridges can either be built in or free standing, but both types are cabinets with shelves and hooks to preserve meat on and feature a control hub, so you can take control of the temperature.
