Walk in chiller services, reviews & installations

A walk in chiller is a room or storage space to chill food and drinks. These rooms come with a lot of features, such as shelving and refrigerating units, for extra and more organised storage. They all have a thermostat which allows you to change the temperature within the chiller. If you need any help or support installing these products, than contact NWCE as our staff team can help you implement this in anywhere of your choosing.

These cold rooms are recommended for any food service business, no matter if you’re a high end supermarket chain or restaurants. Most commonly. standard walk in chillers operate at a temperature of around 0°C – 12°C, whereas walk in freezers operate at temperatures of below 0°C.  Despite them not being the most energy efficient appliances, there are many energy efficient components to make a walk in chiller more environmentally friendly.  With these appliances there are many things to factor in, they include the temperature which the food needs to be kept at, functions which it must perform for particular foods, the speed of chilling or cooling and the access doors to the rooms.

The walk in chiller consists of an evaporator fan, a compressor, an evaporator and refrigerant. The refrigerant circulates from the compressor to the condenser into the expansion device, through the evaporator and back to the compressor, in an endless cycle (until turned off by the thermostat).
